Another fine and organic present for Andrea, ab-fab postwork, this is EYE CANDY and really pops ! I do love Rhododendrons, more than any other flower myself and this colour of RED is just so irresistible ... Simply elegant Tara, BB

A very red and very undulant shot of this beautiful plant. I can't tell if there's filtering, but whatever you did---in camera and/or out---you brought out the colonies in the leaves, the eddies and flows and veins, and lots of shadow play and saturated light, with beautiful lights around the edges too. That's very Andrea-like, with her signature edge work and the other things she does to flowers and such. This is also like jumping into an ocean and photographing vivid marine life. It has that undulant feeling. A beautiful shot for Andrea, our resident muse of so many things; and thanks for your comment, affirming that she is all those things---it's right she knows how many feel that way about her terrific 'garden of delights'! Happy Birthday Andrea! Hope it's a great week! Terrific dedi, Tara. I grew up around rhody's and I never saw one as vivid as this. (Btw, do rhododendrons like to be called "Rhody's"? How do you know one of them won't jump out at you and scream, "A 'rhody' is someone who follows ROCK bands! I'm a Rho-do-den-dron, dammit!!! SAY it!!! Gahhhhhd...")
