Description

Part 2 of a 4 Part Story/Poem. The Fog Presently its clammy mass was swirling round my face; and all my body felt the chill that came with its embrace. It seemed to be quite suddenly my eyes were rendered blind, for with the thickness of the fog my way was hard to find. The isolation left me feeling suddenly that I'm all alone and wandering, adrift in space and time. As I groped my way ahead I stumbled, and I fell, and found that to my horror I was face to face with hell! Its eyeless sockets stared at me, Its flesh was all decayed, The body lay there on the street, so grotesquely displayed! I fought the sickness that I felt and carefully arose, avoiding further contact as my apprehension grows. I did not know which way to turn, my senses in a daze; I wondered what else may be lurking, in this murky haze. I slowly made my way along while straining with my eyes, when suddenly a patch of fog ahead began to rise.
