I love the colour of this one: it is similar to another variety called 'Turkish Delight'.

I'm with you on the color ... it's delightful! The deep purple of the dark splotches and the naughty bits is gorgeous, and if I were a pollinating insect, I would be there straightaway! :)

A beautiful frontal shot, the petals look like crepe, and the hue is gorgeous against all that dark green. (And I like what you did with the background, breaking it into small droplets of hue with all that black around them.) The stamens are beautiful and detailed, and of course their hue stands out beautifully against the petals. A splendid shot; and with that top-right petal bent over, it's like it's wearing a hat, or has bangs. Beautiful flower work, Andrea.
