Description
Captured back in 12/2006, in the morning, heaven only knows where.
Another original 640 x 480 resolution series of pics, enlarged and postworked for presentation in this posting.
Arboreal butchery, plus my variations, makes a tree appear evil.
Original on top, just for the record.
A ZOOM would be most revealing.
So long.

Awesome post work Harry :)

In this set, I like the pair at the bottom. Very evil indeed!

Some witch must have cast a spell on this poor tree. You've come up with some great variations. Thanks for the look-see.

The third is my favourite!! Very well done!!!!!!!!!

More very cool manipulations. The last two are my favorites. The forth one looks like the tree is struggling in some kind of spell or perhaps it is conjuring the spell itself. I see a ferocious fight in the last one. Excellent post work!

Aww, it's not evil, it's just a victim! I think it looks quite mysterious and noble myself. And I love the variations here, quite sophisticated work, Harry!

Another creative series on these twisted/cropped branches. And this one moves in a very different fashion. I assume it's the same original as the last (the light's the same, the contrast, composition, etc)---and it's still a fine original. The second is more of your "underwater" treatment, with lights swirling behind and even reflecting on top of it. It kind of intensifies number 1. Then 3, and you're in layered backgrounds, with dark menacing looks. A real turnaround in the sequence. This montage has a few turned corners in it! I like the flaked edges to each band of background, as well as the dark hues. 4 is, yes, very artistic, and looks both iced---the intense blue sections feel like branches in the north pole---and very hot sections---the bright yellow-lit sections. It's like the branches have let out their incantations. Very sweetly done. And the last is another of your kaleidoscopic images, with a ghost kaleidoscope behind it. Overlayed reds and greens. This montage really goes several directions, as we move down it. And one gets the feeling it could go on quite some distance, if you wanted it to. (Of course it would never fit on RR. I've done montages that were 20 images long...) A very rich array, here, and it doesn't feel evil to me, at end, so much as containing all kinds of personalities, some very jewel-like. More creative variation-work from you, Harry. Another fav. Harry, I'm at an hour and 20 minutes now, and I asked myself how I only did 7 images in that time! Then I realized, 5 of them were montages---so, in reality, I've done (i'm going back to look)---lol, 20 images! Pretttty sneaky, Sir! But it's always worth it. But I didn't do too badly, considering the number I did. Well I'm getting closer and closer to the front of your gallery: One of these days...Anyway, a real pleasure as always! I hope you have a fine Thursday.
