Cool shot and effect.

beautiful, no wonder people are fascinated by fires and the waves on the shore

Gosh, that's exciting!

Yes, this definitely has that zing of seafoam, which is unlike anything else in the world. The smell, the feel of it on your face; you got it in spades here!

Very artful. If a photographic purest took this photo, he/she might grumble. If a multi-talented artist rendered this photo, I suspect he/she would be downright pleased with the result. Again this is full of what I think of as your style...superior composition, wispiness, high contrasting light and darkness, and where mother nature is concerned bold action. On zoom there is chromatic aberration and lots of digital artifacts...but so what. [As we both know, there are all sorts of filters to add those effects back in if you've taken a too perfect shot in the first place] So again, success with your point and shoot Mark. The presence or essence is all there! Atta-boy:)

Love all the swirls and swooshes and textures, like a cloud doing some kind of wild wind dance on the water. Great shot and effects.

Über splendid composition of your Lake Michigan, releasing its latent might and fury on the day you made this outstanding capture, Mark. I looked at in zoom and was totally impressed by the sweep, texture and stark contrast evoked by the water. Super duper, my friend, and welcome back from the disabling effects of your back problems.

Swell swell! :) I just looked at the first one, and have nothing to add to my comment on this one. Not that they're interchangeable shots at all ... they're both totally worth seeing ... but the comment would be the same. :P

I always seem to go backwards when you post a bunch of fotos, so have no idea what's been seen and said and done. I don't know much about the technical part of a camera, but I do know you can get lots of gear to get better shots. I'm sure that could happen here, but I like what I see of your lake and the waves and action it provides with the camera you use. You catch such a great scene of that lake!!

Mark, congratulations on another photograph that is very well done. As of late I find myself marveling over your abilities with the camera, and realize this is a skill set I do not possess. You always seem to be able to locate the most ideal settings and then have a perfect sense of timing on when you should make the capture.
