very great capture! Ahem ... as Your benches are made to prevent poor people from sleeping on! (Hum hum... Chez vous aussi les bancs sont fabriqués pour empêcher les pauvres gens de dormir dessus !)

Not made for real comfy sitting. And is that really why those arms are there--to keep people from sleeping on them? Geez.......

I hate when they put those dividers there. A super photo, the light is great.

a pretty nice light for that seat must be hardly comfortable ... Urban Art Moderne??

That's one way to keep taggers from defacing the benches, not much in the way of surface to paint on! It's probably more comfortable than it looks for sitting, but yes, those arms will keep anyone from trying to lie down. It works well with the vertical bars in the wall behind, sort of jailhouse chic design. Excellent capture, Harry!

Quite an abstract---because of the meshwork of the bench, because of the light which makes it shine, because of the play of that meshwork with the shadows behind, because of the play of the meshwork with the fence posts behind, and because of the fenceposts whch shoot up over the bench as well. A real fanning-out of an image, with all those shadows and intense lights that you've become known for. I like Denise's "jailhouse chic design"---great description of this, because all those metal bars give this the feeling of a jail cell. The light casts and pale orange on the metal, and that bleak sidewalk in front has enough grit to give contrast to the metal. A really fine early morning abstract; I can see why Marilyn did her shadow image for you: You're a master at this type of photography. Wonderful shot.
