Description
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
A nice variety of hair styles.
Well, I know the dude on the left was either the main proprietor of the garland mart, or at least one of the main assistants. The other three I don't know about, they may have worked in the mart also, despite their apparent youth (if so, a violation of child labor laws). They were posing for some other photographers, so I just took advantage and sneaked in this shot, like I often do in similar situations.
A ZOOM, as usual, will add to your viewing pleasure.

I imagine that this would be what it looked like if invaders from another planet showed up at the Renaissance Faire -- they almost blend in, the colours are right, but there's definitely an air of otherworldliness to them. Wonder if they stopped in from a comic book convention? Great eye, Harry, capturing the evidence of aliens among us! I love your faire series!

Fascinating shot, those are kind of Renaissance outfits but they're also a mix of fantasy, medieval, a little sci-fi, halloween and just people-at-play thrown in. The fun of getting posed shots---when the poses are for a different photographer---is that you can capture how bizarre those poses are when they're not aimed at you! A real "fair" shot, because it's something one would only find at a carnival-like event; and they seem to love being into their strange worlds too. The Enchanted Garland sign is a terrific backdrop, also, pulling this diverse lot together (the green is a nice "pull," as it sets-off the hues of their costumes nicely). Another eye-grabber in this series, and, again, a shot I never expected. Hard to believe you weren't at this fair for 3 months...
