Description
As I was coming home today from work, a thunderstorm came up rather quickly. It had been a tough day. I thought , just a fine finish to a hard day. A patient died today. The week has been tough as I have had to put to sleep several baby animals due to sickness. As the storm passed, I looked up to this beautiful double rainbow. I stopped at the fire station to take pictures. Several of the firemen came out to see what I was doing. As we stood there, we all became quite.
It was as if the rainbow was healing all of us from the hurt all people in our line of work have. As the rainbow faded, one of the firemen said quietly, "I really needed that after this week." Several nodded in agreement. Me too.
