Description

On the path up to Castle Ewen in Fairy Glen there is this spiral wishing circle which is maintained by the local fae folk. This circle is very unusual in that it is built on the side of quite a steep slope. I think here you get a better impression of the overall strangeness of the Glen than in my previous post. It is very odd how the slope has eroded out in lenticular shapes.

Very cool! I feel there should be a dragon coming in for a landing. That erosion is interesting. I'm guessing some dramatically different types of rock must be layered together. Again, nice post work. The detail in the clouds really adds some drama.

The fae feel that this is a place of power - one for good and so they feel obligated to maintain the shape of things to come. the shapes of the lines in the hillside are nothing more than the grid for the ley lines, directing the power as needed

This place absolutely reeks of strange Magick..... There is something of another time and place at work here.. I'm sure the Fae keep the stones in good shape, and the surrounding stones and fields well tended. I can almost feel the power of this place just looking at your photo, Roxy! Truly a glimpse into a more magical time..

An amazing scene & if I hadn't known, I would have probably guessed it was constructed out of 3D modeling software rather than being a photograph. Makes me want to visit there...

As soon as I saw your image I had a flash back to a dream I had many years ago where I was stepping from stone to stone in a circular pattern, I never knew what the dream meant but now I know! Thanks B-Girl for solving the mystery...:) Wonderful image in many ways!

It looks like applied by hand. So it must be a special place.... indeed very magical. Generally it is a picturesque landscape. The craggy and rough rocks in the lush green and a gorgeous clouds. Everything fits!!!

This is one of those places that you feel the world of the fae is just a missed step away. Where by turning around you might see one of the old ones there looking back at you. Oh yes, Virginia, fairies are real!
