What a cracking shot Maria, not only does the zoom reveal the feather details which are awesome, but also that really neat ring of reflected light across the birds breast. Fantastic work

zoom is definitely the way to view. I like Blue Jays and Cardinals but have seen none this summer. the past few years their were some living in my area

Another fabulous shot of a delightful little bird. Yes, we also enjoy these birds in my garden and they hare bathing in the shade close to a bush :-) But they a bit too far away for a decent shot.

Another crisp and colorful capture to add to your bird album, Maria. Like Andrea said, it's nice to see photos of avians that we don't have here. Ours consist primarily of crows, seagulls, sparrows, pigeons, and, once in a great while, a hummingbird.

You are a master at capturing these beautiful feathered creatures. We don't have this kind of jay here, ours are the Steller's jays, all dark blue, so I'm fascinated at the colour patterns on these guys. Perfect shot!
