Description

The neighbor's cat - top left - decided to have kittens in a cardboard box in my garage. (sigh) It was left to me to introduce them to dry kibble when the time came. The neighbor doesn't want them, since mama kitty has 4 other older offspring. (sigh) These three kittens, just over 3 months old now, stay in my yard most of the time. So it would appear that I have 3 cats, even though I didn't really want cats right now. (sigh) But they are cute and fun and photogenic, and hopefully will keep mice and other critters away. Thanks very much for your recent views, comments, and faves.

Tell your irresponsible neighbour to get them all neutered ! Outrageous neglect. Pretty animals and lovely pictures though.

They will go feral in time, and I think you are an angel for more or less rearing and weaning them. If I were closer, I would deffo have the little ginger tabby that has already quite a coat there, may turn out to be a long hair. They are all beautiful cats indeed. I have to agree with Errol though, they will multiply.. And be prepared for noisy evening trying to sleep too. I get ferals in my garden here in London, and they can make quite a rumpus of noise when they get going. But I am also lucky to get a family of urban foxes that come through my back yard as part of their run, so the cats soon take a powder when they show up. But what a wonderful photo op you have right here, you captured these beautifully Tex. And isn't mom a gorgeous cat? I'd purloin it off the irresponsible neighbours and call her mine LOL!

There are groups that will spay and neuter for almost nothing; well worth looking them up! These little critters are awfully cute, and I'm sure they'll bring you tons of fun. Hopefully they won't scare off your birds!

Lovely capture, of these cute kitties and their Mommy. I ended up getting my present cat because someone either moved out of an apartment and left her behind or dropped her off here knowing someone like me would take her in. I live in a second floor apartment and on Friday night about 9:00 pm I heard this loud crying outside my apartment door and opened it up and she came in meowing continuously half starved to death and bone skinny. I gave her a little tuna and took off to the nearest store and bought some cat food and nursed her back to health. Placed an ad for her but never got any response. She is a wonderful buddy though, love her to death. I found out later on she came up the steps chasing a pigeon because they roost on the rails of the apts. and watch over their baby chicks nest downstairs in the rafters. Well, good luck with the kitties....:)))

I was thinking the same thing as MrsRatbag in re frightening away the kites, humming birds, and blue jays when I perused this stellar collage of the wee felines, Maria. Mama looks like a variety of tortoise shell cat.

What a cheek your neighbour has to leave them with you Maria. They are beautiful creatures but still quite a responsibility. Hugs. Di. xx
