Description
Captured back on 10/18/09, at the entrance/exit of the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California.
As you can probably tell, this is actually the base of the fountain. Water also drips from the top. There are a few other pics of it showing it full size in my files, but I liked the contrast, detail and POV in this one.
ZOOM if you wish.
Aloha.

A very classical sort of fountain, beautifully captured! I like that it sprays from the bottom too, as well as the more standard dripping from the top. Fountains of all kinds are wonderful for atmosphere, and this one looks like a real winner. Well done, Harry!

In zoom, you have a luminous texture and light, where the stone of the fountain gitters, and the water is like textured glass. Also, in zoom we can see the water from the top, coming down. We don't see the source, but see can see it's result. And, fascinatingly, the water shoots out of the stone in thin shoots---in complete contrast with the massivity of the stone base. It's a study in contrasts. Lots of agitation for a shot of the corner of a pool---a very active shot. And your postwork makes it all glisten.
