Description
Captured 4/27/14, at the beautiful Renaissance Faire, held at the beautiful Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, in semi beautiful Irwindale, California.
Various and sundry shots of the ubiquitous marketplace and some of its customers.
A ZOOM would be most rewarding.

I've never seen so many colors, patterns and variations of the costumes at this faire. Nice postwork

I love these market stalls; they're always so intriguing, even if things are way overpriced when you look at them. The colours and scents are intoxicating! Superb shots of the shoppes and customers, Harry; and it does seem that there are a lot of heavyweights at that faire!

still a very nice set of photos, where we realize that "the Renaissance" becomes a pretext to trade more or less time !!!

All the fascinating costumes and accouterments aside, these are serious studies of horizontals, and of textures and varied shapes. The first 2 images are awash in verticals, the top with bottles as a main component, and the 2d with those wonderful hanging costumes, punctuated (as pointed out by Rob) by a hidden woman, and the man on the right. Lots of vertical accents in both, lots of different textures, lots of hue variation. They really make a cornucopia. The last 3 shots continue the vertical language, but with more horizontals, and more space. And of course with such an interesting array of back-and-side shots. So much costume, so many styles of hair and hair dressing. And the bottle theme of number 1 is carried on---in miniature!---in number 3 (in the tiny perfume bottles); and you have such fascinating objects in number 4---those little colonies of gremlins, plates, sculptures, incantations, etc. It opens up the montage beautifully. And 2 large viewers on the bottom---one in wholly modern dress, the other in true Renaissance dress---with more verticals in the background, and a big horizontal swath on top. These are awash in vertical symphonics, really rich and musical. You have shots here that stand on their own, but the montage brings home the intense rhythms of such street captures, and makes them all sing together. Wonderful collection, Harry. I really love this.
