Description
Captured on Father's Day, 6/15/14, overlooking the channel adjacent to the Los Angeles Waterfront.
Just a few of the huge loaders, i.e., big cranes, situated on and around the waterfront, used to lift cargo from or load onto ships worldwide. Reminds me of either missile launchers or Erector Set projects from my childhood.

These loaders do remind us of erector sets.Would of enjoyed seeing them being used however we still enjoyed a beautiful Sunday, Father's day ! Clear shots

Excellent capture of the big cranes; the Port of Seattle has a large number of these also, but ours are painted orange. They are incredibly huge!
