Description
Geologically Iceland is a young country. It sits on one of the most active volcanic areas on earth.
Over 2,600 tremors have been recorded during the past four days in Southern Iceland near the Bárðarbunga volcano indicating an eruption may be imminent. The Bárðarbunga, Iceland’s largest volcano, lies under the vast Vatnajökull glacier. If an eruption occurs it could make the 2010 explosion of Eyjafjökull look small by comparison. There are also concerns that melting ice could cause floods. People in the area have been evacuated.
A webcam has been placed on Mount Grimsfjall to monitor activity at Bárðarbunga. You can see it here:

Now please zoom in on this mountain while I untie my tongue.

It looks like a huge rocky wave about to break. If it does go up it will ground the aircraft in most of the Northern Hemisphere.
