At the junction with the mine shaft I collided with DVK sending her sprawling....helping her to her feet I couldn't help noticing she was drenched in blood, though thankfully not her own. As she brushed herself down she said "Damn! you've laddered my stockings!"..taking her arm I said "I'll buy you more, lots more...now RUN!!". We could now see daylight ahead, 50 yards from the mine entrance, there was a dull 'thud' and the whole mine seemed to jump and shake, as if pounded by a giant fist. 40 yards and a roar like a very angry dragon seemed to be racing up behind us. 30 yards and a change in air pressure popped our ears, " Have you got something I can suck on?" enquired Gloria, I shot her a glance and said "Maybe later, if we survive". 20 yards and the dragons warm breath struck us. 10 yards and invisible hands lifted us off our feet and ejected us out of the mine, sprawling headlong on the ground. All of Glorias clothes had been blown off and she was knocked unconscious, hoisting her onto my shoulders we moved away from the mine entrance as a huge tongue of flame and billowing black smoke erupted from the opening. Tailspin was slumped on a piece of mine machinery, almost certain we must have perished until I patted him on the shoulder and said " I really didn't think we were going to get out in time......." Christopher Robin reports Eeyore made a full recovery, being a cartoon they just stuck a bit of paper on the bullet hole and painted it grey.
