Description

Greetings Folks, Well, what can I add.. Not much really.. A sight that made Duxford go silent, (very!!!).. This formation, the first time ever at Duxford, did two circuits, then the Gnats climbed and the Olympus engines opened up and she climbed.. The ground shook, and she howled.. Perfect! I took over 100 pictures of her (It is a her by the way).. The sun shone (mostly), and 700 pictures snapped.. More incoming.. More on the Vulcan soon, thought you'd like to see this quick.. Comments tomorrow, thanks Rob

The Vulcan has to be the most beautiful military aircraft ever conceived and built. It's quite astounding to think that it has been around since 1956 - almost as long as me. :-) Though I believe that it is now more manoeuvrable than I.

If ever an airplane could be described as "sexy" it's the Vulcan... A graceful and powerful craft, and what a great shot of her, Rob! Every time I see a Vulcan, I think of the Bond flick "Thunderball."
