Description

Yup, another one gone. September 13th Pod slipped into a coma at home after battling insulinoma and other fun things for a few years. A tough little girl with a crooked nose. She was one of Mrs. W's favorites and a "rescue" from a pet shop -- Pod was alone, very dirty, and neglected by the staff in a store that we've come to expect better of. Those staff disappeared soon after the "rescue." Pod was feisty as all heck and could hold here own against any resident, or visiting critters, that were dumb enough to think: A runt? This will be fun. As you can see, at least someone around here knows how to take their medicine without all the acrobatics. Well, thank you for viewing.

Lovely little cutie sorry to hear you lost her ,I have had similar experiences myself with my Guinea pigs lost 4 in six months.Some pet shops should be shut down. I bought a little one who died in a week because of neglect from a major pet store we did the syringe feeding and all that (broke my heart). Cheer up you did your best!!!

This is my first visit at your site. It looks like I have found a fellow animal lover. If you are doing rescue for ferrets, you are now one of my favorite people. I have had two in the past. Wendy was my best friend for the years I had her. I do wildlife rescue and rehab now so I do not have the time to give another one. I am glad to see that someone is rescuing these delightful little guys. I am sorry for you loss. I do know how much we miss them.

I remember some farmer friends bringing ferrets to school once and I was immeadiately fascinated by them. By the end of the day every kid wanted a pet ferret Sorry to hear about the loss but keep up the good work with those rescues.
