My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I saw the title to this and thought to ask Corey if he knew if Chevy Prisons came in Pepto-Bismol pink, in that flagrantly '50s way, and then I realized that Chevrolet never made a model line called the Prison...and so that question went right out the window. So then, I actually looked at the photo! WOW! I'm not into car stuff but this is a gorgeous shot. It has so much shiny excitement in it and the colors are so nicely arranged. There's a particular elegance to this and I like it a lot. Yep...it's the perfect shot that goes strangely well with Czech folk music. Yeah, it's that kind of a photo-viewing night.

Some serious heavy metal in this scene - appropriate in that I'm listening to metal music Wonderful, if strange capture - based on the location of said museum

What a wonderful play of color and shapes, Tara! Wow - I love those old Chevy fins! That's really an interesting use for an old prison - far better than letting it fall into disrepair. Nicely seen and captured!

They just don't make cars with that kind of style anymore. Shame too, those are some beautiful vehicles. I would love to have seen those cars in person.

Love the play of color & metal here & even the high ISO noise adds some appealing texture. When I saw the title, I was imagining some use of a Chevy grill to represent prison bars - like somehow Photoshopping Bill's face behind one. I wasn't even close...

They should change the name to General Prison - I spot a Caddy...

A super row of fine fins Tara.

A wonderful photo! You are a heroine, I think I could not spend a whole day in a vehicle museum

Beautiful composition of chrome and fins! What a great idea, a museum in a prison!

I guess the old autos have been "incarcerated"?

Wow! That is indeed some crazy metals going on here! Great exploration of colour and neat array! Seems like those edges are mighty sharp! A really cool subject and find, Tara!

I would enjoy the car section as well as the Caddie on the right, but the Chevys are my favorite
