Description
Captured 1/20/09, early in the morning.
More than any other holiday of the year, why Halloween holds an infinite amount of possibilities for subject matter.
The light source was a window above the stairwell of my condo.
As big as it gets, so don't bother ZOOMing.

You posted this a few days ago, when I had just finished one of my first photo-shoots in a year and a half, and was lamenting the lack of decorations for Halloween this year. (My neighborhood's getting cheap!) I looked at this pic before reading your description, and I thought "this would make a great Halloween image!" But you'd already thought of that, lol! Terrific shot. It has that long "bar" shadow, once more (the lone line to the upper left of the glass): Love how that becomes part of the design. And the glass on its side, casts a wonderfully spooky face upon the fabric (or whatever the glass is sitting on). With your intense light, you make the shadows and undulating light-lines feel like an apparition---'ghosts upon ghosts upon ghosts', as Denise says. And your crop makes us zero-in on the image and its minimalism. Man, you've done some exciting work with a single glass and light. (This glass is different from the others I commented on---it's got flatter slices all across it.) Terrific for Halloween. Wonderful work.
