Description
Mongopolis, the new capital of the planet Mongo, from the Flash Gordon comic and movie serials, now under new rule since the overthrow and replacement of the evil emperor, Ming the Merciless. Definitely my cup of tea.
While perusing my ancient files, I encountered this goodie harking back to my salad days of Bryce/Poser art work, i.e., the years 2002 through 2006, when I was much more daring, inventive, imaginative, indulgent and fun loving than I am now.
I've misplaced all records on the creators of these Poser people and objects, ergo, many thanks to whoever came up with them.
Ciao, baby.

Hmmm, that lower atmosphere reminds me of the stories of the residents near the old steel mills. The stories go that when a certain sound was heard they would have to run to bring their laundry in off the line else it be ruined and require another washing. Another tale, which I should recall seeing but can't, was the yellowish orange snow they would receive every winter. Wonderful creation!

It does look much like I envision Mongo; love all the different flying machines and people! I'd be scared to fly so close to rocketships like that, though. And I didn't know you were a Flash Gordon fan, Harry. Excellent find in your very deep files!

I'm breaking from your street shots to do at least one more of your poser/bryce pieces. The hues here, like your others, are very strong and singular (ie, unique). A peach/amber/orange/yellow...and it gets very yellow in spots, and very orange in others. You doused these pieces, often, with the most full-bodied vivid hues. And the flying people at bottom have a wonderful yellow coming out of them, and the reds and greens in the piece are sweet counterpoint to all that orange. And I like how the piece faces into an orange fog, at bottom---how the city dives into an abyss at the bottom. Lots of play in your forms; and your light and hues are wonderful once more. And your signature is, again, in a hue that sets off the painting perfectly. Your signatures in these pieces are frosting on the cake.
