My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Lucky 13 and a very attractive bunch. But the star has to be the young lady just to the right of the letter. Outstanding collage.

Delicious image, Tara:) i am always surprised with the faces of kids!! The shine of the eyes and the smiles; their open eyes of astonishment and the joy that they share with us...they are the 'key' of the Future:)It is a great portrait and a very good choice for the ''K'' !! Brilliant. And ''Auntie'' is fine, lol:)))

In the late 60s or ealy 70s, there was a famous photography show---and then book---called "The Family of Man". It might seem a bit cliched, today, but then it was new, one of the many early works depicting globality, taking us out of a centuries long journey without it. This reminded me of that collection immediately. The faces are treated and blended so they seem almost translucent and soft; some like marble (for its sheen, not for its hardness), some more creamy, some like wisps. Beautiful light and 'feel' on all of them. And you've put them together into a global whole, and left the rest of the space to be, without too much activity---so they shine. Yet the vines are beautiful, weaving through the children; and the piano is a sweet touch, at the bottom. The yellow of the frame and the letter give just the right "lift"---as does the yellow in the image proper, in a few spots. And the bright green border sets it all off, as if this were growing in a garden...Another beauty, and with a feeling of "a small world" in the middle of a huge world. That's a good thing, not a crowded one. Intimacy and sharing. Beautiful. (I like that you're letting your categories go wherever you, and they, want them to go. You're not constricting it, and that makes each one a discovery. This is a very big series.)

This is so charming, so sweet; how can you go wrong with kids?? And the fact you know them and some are grown up now just makes it all the more wonderful!!
