My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Amazing work Tara. God bless.

When I was little I wanted to live in a light house. I love the way you have put this one together. Beautiful.

Very lovely layering with this one, Tara

This leaves me trawling the shallows of my mind for a collective noun for lighthouses. Oh dear, another sleepless night. And I love the composition and especially the colour palette, BTW

It's really beautifully composed, Tara! So much creativity and thought has gone into your artwork, and this one just comes to life right off the page! There is something magical and mysterious about light houses, and this is exactly why! Fabulous composition!

Krittermom (Bev) says that when she was little she wanted to live in a light house. I still want to. The design elements in this image are fabulous and the use of the Fresnel is inspired. Your work with the alphabet just gets better and better.

The arc of the stairwell connects all the images so perfectly; what a beautiful addition to the alphabet!

(btw, and this has nothing to do with your art: I luuuuuuv Denise's new avatar---where does she FIND these things! Anyway back to the art...) This has the feeling of some of the renaissance and post renaissance flemish painters, and northern european painters. It has that northern dark amber light; the buildings seem from a scrapbook of memories; the pileup of images feels like a set of keepsakes pasted together for a loving presentation to one's children; the stairwell swirls over the image like a gentle canopy; and the dark rust hues (in corners) make it feel intimate. The border sets it off, picking up the lightest of the hues 'inside' the image. And it feels like a gathering of lighthouses but also cottages. Very intimate and gentle. I love how you change hues in this series, this one has a tone totally different from the others. Beautiful once more!
