My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Do you take any orders for a bigger one Tara ? ;P a vibrant and incredible organic looking quilt, with all the colours of the rainbow here united ... and it didn't take long at all, only about 2-3 hours but who is counting ?- just how do you do it ? ;)) This one will definitely keep you both warm on those snowy and freezing nights, when back home again ! and you know how much I just lurve purple - speaking of the framing ... BB BTW - I also love most of the letters of the alphabet, from prior posts - since the 'A' ... life (around our garden) is just so very busy - momentarily, and also so very hot ;P

As a quilt, it's beautiful. As a montage, it's a big popping visual, with multiple views of nature and flowers. As an abstract it's equally vibrant and dancing. And you used that brush pattern to unify and pull images together. You have some architecture here (ornament) or perhaps it's ornament on a vase or pot. And your color combinations make strong contrasts and dance. This is beautiful, Tara, and your choice of deep purple for the borders and the words (well the words are a brighter purple) sets off all the activity within. I see that all the corners are met with the circular brush, as are the innermost squares. In fact, you make a diamond square in the inner squares (from that brush). Patterns abound. You still haven't lost any inspiration in this series. More beautiful work.

Every time I see one of your alphabet images, I think wow, that's my favorite. Then I see another one and it goes to the top of the list. But this one might just stay there; it's just as gorgeous and anything can be. It resonates with me on a personal level as well, since a friend of mine just made me the most incredible quilt--using a "bone man" fabric she found. Guess now I'll have to take a foto of it so you can see it. I have a great admiration of you quilters--what a glorious art!!
