My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

It looks as though the ghosts of past are watching over them. Love it. Glad the computer is back.

"...and he didn't charge us an arm and a leg!" Very good but do you still have all of your fingers and toes? A marvelous collection in the foreground. I really like the hazy background and the ghostly images hovering over the scene.

This is the best yet ! Well, till the next one. R is for relax , reverie, renew, remember. This also reminds me of the pebbles we leave on a grave to show we've been there. Beautifully done.

This one is a 'bolder' pic than the others and super work Tara - glad that all is well now.

Virus authors should be hung up by their scrotum, flayed, then dipped in vinegar and salt solution, dragged across sand paper, drawn and quartered and the remains fed to wild boar. Can you tell I despise them? LOL! Nice work here, and I am pleased you are up and running, King size Kudos to Carlos!

Round rocks, Rugged rocks, River rocks, well.... This 'Rocks' Tara! LOL NefariousDrO should like this one! I know I do! Glad you got the computer issues taken care of! A POX on the unwashed buttmunchers that write those viruses (although I sometimes wonder if a lot of them aren't created by the anti-virus companies....).

I'm not even going to try to be clever here with R because this is just TOO wonderful. It has that Zen feel to it--reminds me of some shots I took at Lake Tahoe a couple of years ago. Bummer about your computer but I'm happy you got it taken care of without too much trouble--or money!!
Wolfenshire
Very Zen like.

I love the comments here...Because you've instituted the template of "B is for ___", people love to make up their own substitutes, in your gallery. Marilyn has a great response---"I'm not even going to try to be clever here with R". You've gotten great responses to these. This piece was a change-up, I think. It's more open than your other alphabet pieces, and much more 'smooth' in a way (at least compared to any I can think of offhand). Beautiful silken texture to the sky and the softness overall. And zen-like, yes, in the frontal stones, and their arrangement (where each one seems alone, yet they're together). The few stone-pileups you have are wonderful counterpoint, esp the two in ghost image. And youve used a rich tan for the border and font, surrounded by a deep slate blue (saturated to almost midnight blue): A fine combination, it's framed this beautifully. A serene, zen-like contemplation, with those hillocks in the background like stylized mountains in Chinese landscapes. Open airy and meditational. Very beautiful, Tara. You're at U, as of this writing, and I'm already going through withdrawal. I want you to start again when you hit Z! I'm sure you'll want to move on, but I'm really going to miss this. Somehow, somehow, while you've done such disparate subjects, these all have some ineffable bond in common---beyond the fact that they're all inspired by letters. They all have a certain 'touch', an emotional patina that makes them belong in a big extended family. Has something to do with your treatment, your framing: It's not, as I say, just that they all use 'letters'. I'm gonna have to hide when you're finished...it's been such a joy to see all these blends from you, so many in a row. I would buy a book of these for sure. Now onto S... (if you wanna shake things up, follow U by Z. Or Ü. With an umlaut. Or by the number 236.72005. Bad idea. This series is too organic to be messed with that way, but hey, it's how I think. Ignore this last part...I just love this series of yours.)
