Description

Otidea onotica This little cup fungus is quite tricky to spot, but there is often a group somewhere along the shrubbery in my road.

A very nice find, a tricky one to spot, there are mixed opinions regarding it's toxicity.. some say it can be edible and others say it has medicinal qualities, under such circumstances best to avoid on both levels.

Well seen. I probably would have passed by without noticing it. From the picture it looks like it could be mistaken for a discarded tangerine peel.

Good eye! Easily overlooked but it has some wonderful shapes and textures to it. The outer texture looks a bit like beef tongue.

Looks a bit like orange peel and I could have shown you a picture a bit like yours but I got them well out of focus.

An excellent find and capture! The garden debris mix of pine needles and beechmast must give a huge range of species.
