Description

Hmmmm, well this STARTED as an exercise to create a terrain with tank tracks in it....it turned out quite well but looked rather dull...so I added a few bits and pieces, and a few more....the tracks are there but not as I intended originally. Maybe a view from the rear ?...no story, just killing a bit of time..... Thanks to ranman38 for the excellent Tiger tank @ Ontarget3D, Tryphon for German tankers and some 're-tasked' Tommy gear and Tannenbaum for his stunning German infantry. Church ruins and stone walls by DarkAnvil @ Ontarget3D.

Neil, very nice composition and subject matter. I think it could benefit from probably a better or more realistic ground cover and use of DOF with the two Germans reading the map in the foreground as your focal point. Maybe a spot light on their faces also to bring them out of the dark, so to speak. Good to have you posting again.

Nice to see you posting once again - hope all is well now. When I saw the image and reread the title, I figured you would have a character 'watering' the wall (or a suggestion of the event) Outstanding work on this scene

Ah, I see the pit - right in front of the Tiger. So, let's check the map for the nearest good crossing without pit. Glad to see you back in business, Neil. I sincerely hope your pit stop resulted in a clean bill of health! Keep up the good work! :-)

Awesome looking scene! and from the number, I'd say that's Wittmann's Tank... and that must be him looking at the map.. Great work you did on this..

Good stuff, looks like they have got themselves lost, judging by the way they are studying that map.

Nice work, another shot from a different angle might be a good idea and then we can see those track marks. Keep em coming.

A lot of detail work in this one, Neil. The dirt on the tracks is a really nice touch, and your use of a variety of poses makes the scene really interesting. Nice!

Works for me mate, I'd probably add even more clutter and trees, as they would be hiding from Allied Aircraft by then.. But, that's not important is it.. These things often start as something and end up as something completely different.. I've been there.. Keep killing time mate.. Be here Rob
