Description

A city harbor at night aerial view... My 'map' images aren't built on 'real' maps (and have things in them that maps wouldn't have) they're just fantasy... Thanks again for your wonderful visits and have a fine Wednesday, Mark (This is very big...again,better zoomed/scrolled)

Refelections of reflections, and maybe those yellow lights that some cities use? Moonlight on waves, buildings swaying as the waves move to shore, and pieces of driftwood break up the reflections into prisms of light...lovely work!

I see prismatic reflections off of jagged metal. The color range here is much more restrained than in your more psychedelic pieces - not necessarily better or worse, but refreshingly different. The same expansive & playful spirit & energy is in evidence in all your work...

Okay, here is my take on this multi vivid image, Mark: I see much of what Denise and Claude mentioned/interpreted. They covered it most effectively. The scene does indicate the overall effect of the earth, as seen on the night side from the ISS, with a smattering of artificial lighting below, while orbiting high above. The closeup reveals awesome deep color and noise texture. Now, I'm off to bed after a grueling day for one so old as myself.

I really love the restricted palette and the colours you chose here, and I much prefer this to the very bright colours you often use (to great effect, of course!) It it quieter but richer, wonderful!

Such a creative and beautiful abstract map. The colors are soothing and there is such a nice flow, as if the earth and cities are at peace. And the zoom has a tapestry kind of texture that I like very much. Very lovely image.

Mark, once again you are certainly right on with your choice of titles for the amazing art you create. The dark shades throughout do give this one a feel of being at the City Harbor at night. I hope you get as much pleasure out of creating these marvels as we do viewing them.

I'm with those who like the colors you've chosen for this. Rich, muted, glorious. The hints of yellow-green amongst all those pinks and purples keep it crisp and fresh, a wonderful counterpoint. I love it!

Google Earth Maps made glorious!!! I love how it swirls and moves and pops up with light and a dreaminess. Kinda looks like the way I drive when I get lost--not too often, but all over the place! Super stuff!!
