Description
When I took this photo, I was concentrating on the mushroom, because I had been taking shots of mushrooms around my garden that day. But when I looked at it later, the mushroom didn't look all that special & it was the leaves around it that I appreciated more - the variety of brown tones, their patterns & shapes & the way the light reflected off the wetness. It made me think of actors & actresses who give outstanding performances in supporting roles that sometimes outshine the "stars"...
Please zoom.

I agree with you, those leaves are wonderful.

Oh yeah, those leaves are like fine leather! Parts of them are like fine tanned and dyed leather, with a beautiful sheen, like the mushroom is resting on several of its briefcases, carrying bags, duffles, purses, etc. The light on the leaves is wonderful. And they're deep dark and sensual. Yes, definitely a piece for the supporting cast. (Though the mushroom may have been another Hamlet, in person...But he doesn't have the presence of those leaves, in this shot.) Zoom is a must...beautiful leathery leaves, and a warm sensual 'bed' for that little white leading character...

Very nice capture and good point about the supporting cast

The dark, wet leaves make that very cool bright mushroom really pop out.

I think they all work well together to make a harmonious and lovely scene; great counterpoint in the colours and shapes! Excellent capture!

The mushroom and that oak leaf in the corner ... together they make this something special. A wonderful shot!

Excellent textures and patterns in this photo - dead leaves and mushrooms!
