yeah, it does look like a cowboy hat, and with an attitude! Like this dude knows how to wear clothes. Again, your light on these mushrooms makes them luminous, more of that bright buttery light you've gotten in this series; quite illumined. And the stem is illuminated too (with that light). It all stands out against that blue and reddish brown background, like an obstacle course of twigs and leaves and bark pieces, on which the mushroom is standing and purveying. As if it were saying, "ee-yup! Everything looks fine and dandy!" (I mean, is that how Texas mushrooms talk?) Well done, Claude, you composed and lit this piece beautifully. You're getting these golden yellows, for a number of these shots, and they're as if the light were coming from within. Golden buttery stuff!

Great capture and good observation

Splendid colors, lighting and contrast. A cowboy hat to most, but it looks like a folded pancake to me, sitting amidst a huge plate of worms. What a breakfast combination that would make.

LOL! Yes, it does have that 10-gallon hat look to the "brim", what a great find!

Howdy, M'am. said with a finger tipping the brim of the hat back half an inch

Splendid capture and most befitting name!

Perfect title for this odd shaped mushroom and also being able to see the top and the underneath views!
