Description
This is for Jacomina (Mies) (dochtersions).
I don't know Jacomina well, but I've been to her gallery enough times to know she's a wonderful and very thoughtful photographer, and a magical exquisite fractal artist. Her fractals are like little galaxies brought to you on a silk pillow, they feel like brooches you find in your great-grandmother's treasure chest, where each time you see one, you feel like you've known it all your life. Each one is a jewel. Or a jeweled necklace. Or brooch. I just love them...
So I'm a big fan. And many people I know here treasure her...she's very kind, affirming and loving; and, since she's open about health, I wish her great healing and strength in all her blessed journeys.
I wanted my image to feel like peering into 'intimate waters', and finding them laced with jewels...
Jacomina, I wish you a year of inspiration and health, you're an inspiration to many. I hope you had a wonderful day, and I wish you a wonderful holiday too. Happy Birthday and lots of light your way, from beautiful arctic chicago...
Mark

WOW ! - a word (is it actually one ? hmm ... ponder) so often used - but it's a great sort of package word, that comes to my mind, and expresses precisely, when viewing the warm coloured, precious gems on the 'arctic' ocean floor and there are a few to collect ;P (of course only with a very thick wet-suit on, unless you are Mermaid ? and that would be a no-no, it be too cold and could freeze her tail off). I love those turquoise coloured swirls and movements, so vibrant and sumptuous - and so mesmerizing when scrolling up and down and up and - you know the rest! I am convinced it will strike a note with Jacomina, as it did with me ;)) as said once before, you are 'da spin-doctor' Mark - just how do you do it ? BB Be safe and take care, especially with that back of yours ! ... still have a lot of catching up to do and I will and I want to, 'soon come' ;-)

Amazing, Mark; you seem to have a real affinity for water and its forms and incarnations. This is so lovely!

I really like what you're doing with these more limited color palettes. This is beautiful with its swirls, stops, starts, faces, slides ... marvelous. Gelukkige verjaardag to Jacomina! :)

OHHH YES! Absolutely wonderful colors, light, texture and shapes. I come to think about oil on water. How it can create such wonderful colors and shapes and even texture. But here is it you, Mark, who have created it. That is amazing. Such a beautiful sight and it is a wodnerful dedi for Jacomina :)

Mark, I certainly enjoyed this lovely and thoughtful birthday dedication for Jacomina. She is such a kind soul and one of the kindest people in the gallery as well as one of the most talented. This colorful illustration is certain to be cherished by her for a long time to come.

Thank you with all my heart, Mark! I am very impressed by your words, and so it is relating to this magnificent work of art, of which I am very surprised, also because of the particular length, as if one can really go in an unprecedented depth; where someone like me for example, wants to explore, to find more inspiring places, to save time and time again in my head, and to think about, which meaning is linked to it. It's also very lively, no doubt about that ;-).
