Description

Second lichen shot for today. This is a closeup of branches that had been blown down by a strong wind the previous night & lay on the ground. I thought the cross pattern encrusted in lichen was interesting... Please zoom.

lol, tara's trying to get you into the alphabet series---well these last two could work! (You only have 24 more to go---get started!!!) This is more of your very vivid plant-kingdom shooting, with not only the strong yellows and whites, and all those spindles, but that deep earth beneath it. I realized, here, that you do very deep earth-backgrounds. Meaning, they are not just earth, they have depth to them, and they're very varied: as active as the "subjects" themselves. So here, the shot is as much about the dirt underneath it as about the lichen. And the 'cross' could be acceptable as a Christmas symbol too. Another eye popper from you, Claude. And whatever the holidays mean to you, I'm sure you are moved by the sheer fact of the time of year, the dark season and all the lights inside it (that moves me most, about the season), and I wish you a terrific holiday and a warm one, filled with love and inspiration. Thank you for the wonderful art you've given us all year, along with the gifts of your many wonderful comments. It's been a great pleasure. Happy and holidays to you and your loved ones!
