Description
More of my once hidden and/or neglected fun and imaginative period of Bryce and Poser work from 2002 through 2006, now on display.
I posted this one aeons ago and am doing a return engagement for those currently who haven't seen it. If the movies can do it, why not me/I?
And mea culpa, I cannot locate the records of where I obtained the objects featured.
And please don't ask me to identify that monster delta wing aircraft, because I don't remember what it was called. I'm relatively sure it was an experimental bomber converted for use by NASA. I believe that's a F-16 Fighting Falcon in the upper left hand corner.
Have a significantly nice day.

XB-70A, Valkyrie. There were two of them made for testing as supersonic bombers. One of them crashed after a mid-air collision in 1966, and the other was retired to The USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio.

Thank you much for the identification. I remember the B-70 now that you mentioned it and its eventual fate.

What I like most is that you can't really tell the shape of the wings from this angle until you look at the shadow--nice touch! Excellent work, Harry!

With Denise, I too like that you can't tell the shape of the wings until you see the shadows. And I like that there are people here who know so much about aircraft, like you, sgtbob14, Rob, etc. I know so little about this, it's embarrassing. Anyway, I really like the whooshing colors of the runway---either the actual runway hues or blurred because we're seeing them from a moving perspective. And that linear skyline in the background, where the airport is right off the edge of the city. It looks like water, almost, but it cant be if trucks are riding on it. And your aqua green on the plane, and the stark yellow of the flames, and the deep blues of the sky, etc---more of those vivid hues you use in these pieces. You get such a colorful array in these pieces, I love your hues. And btw Harry, I wanted to tell you that i read your comment on one of my comments---about the spaceship that was flying "away" from us rather than towards us: Where I thought engines were "headlights"? I laughed at how little I know. I looked a second time, and yes, I completely reversed the spacecraft. I know you've worked in this area, right? I read in one of your comments, somewhere, that you'd worked for Boeing. or something like that. Well, the most I ever did was work in a bicycle shop! So if I see an engine as a headlight, that's because I'm utterly naive at this, lol. (Either way, it was a very enticing image.) But here, I know those are engine flames. Love the vivid lights in this, and the feeling of a beginning of a journey in the sky...
