Description

I've been away more than I've wanted this month; but this is Sandy's-dragonmuse's-birthday. And that's a great reason to post. I'm sorry that I NEVER get the day right, Sandy! It's the 22d OR 23d, and some others have mixed that up too---but that's no excuse. At least it gives you more than 1 day to be celebrated. You deserve a whole slew of them... Everyone who knows Sandy, here, knows how caring she is. She showed up so many times in my gallery when I was absent; and she always gave her big loving hugs to us, no matter what. As an artist, she posts her magical mythical journeys, always in many different styles, and always with the inner light and dance that are so central to her. She's brought magic to us, and love from her big beaming heart. But she's had continual health problems, and I've always been moved at how she keeps coming back, even when it's hard for her to write or create. So it's my pleasure to celebrate her in turn. Happy Birthday, Sandy! This little montage was supposed to be "from winter to spring" (which is why I kept it in one image, btw, despite the frightful compression!) That little squiggle in the center of each orb was the first letter of the Hindu mantra "aum" (commonly known as "om"), which, to ancient meditators, symbolized the beginning of everything. (Ie, it's the first letter of the Sanskrit alphabet---AH---thus "the first utterance or sound".) It seemed fitting for beginnings and renewals. I hope you've had light and healing in the last year, and will continue to. Just know what an inspiration you've been, and how much I appreciate the love and light you bring to us each time you're here. Many more birthdays in light and joy, with love and gratitude, and watefalls of inspiration...Mark

A wonderful dedication to Sandy on her birthday. I like how this lovely orb changes and transforms through the seasons, making new things visible. This seems very fitting for a birthday artwork and dedication, as we experience new awareness on our journey through every transition, every change, and every year of our lives.

Mark, allow me to say how moved I was at reading this beautiful birthday presentation to your friend Sandy. The colorful and expressive images you created to go with it are sure to warm her heart and touch her soul. I'm sorry to hear she is going through some health problems and I will be sure and put her in my prayers.

What a lovely and thoughtful dedication you have created for Sandy, dear Mark. I Love the colors and your always sweet light in your art. It is sending out so loving wishes, when you do that. It is giving something good. And I like so much the symbol scribble and what it means. Happy Birthday, Sandy. I wish you a much better health in the new year. :)

The little squiggle makes a wonderful beginning focus point for each "season", allowing our vision to progress outward through all of the details. I also love how each one reveals a different facet (the first, of course is my favourite, being icy and wintry). Superbly lovely dedication, Mark!

Yes, a superb birthday dedication to Sandy, aka dragonmuse, a highly talented artistic contributor who I used to exchange occasional comments with, but who then slowly disappeared off of the Renderosity radar screen. In any event, sorry to read of her recurring health problems, and kudos to you for a stellar crystal ball collage of colors, arcane shapes, patterns and textures, Mark. You are a caring, talented soul.

Your image Mark, is the most thoughtful and expressive that you could have done for Sandy ! The colors and the light move along your image and they come alive, flowing off the screen in a dance till the last panel, that is a feast - shapes and colors swirling with the light, seems sending to her, love, joy and healing wishes. The 'squiggle' in the center of each image as a symbol of all beginnings, shows how life develops and can be renewed...and this, it is the most wonderful wish that you could send for her! It is a superb image and a wonderful gift for Sandy and that she deserve so much .Happy birthday Sandy. I wish you the very best in the new year ahead. Much health, love and light to YOU.

The way you showed the seasons turning is just beautiful. I like the Sanskrit letter in the center ... it gives the piece a constant presence, a life of its own. I love the icy b&w of winter, but it needs the joy of spring and the heat of summer to make it something to appreciate. I keep looking at this, top to bottom and back again, and enjoy the transition every time. It's got the feeling of a cat's-eye marble, a cubist landscape, a kaleidoscope. What a beautiful piece for your friend! It's just lovely.

Oh Mark, this is wonderful. I love the symbol in the center. Did you read my mind? I am an avid history fan and am fascinated by languages and alphabets. This one could not be more perfect as it reaches back deep in time, yet is timeless in form. The first orb (another thing that fascinates me) has the appearance of being covered in frost with frozen petals sleeping within. The second orb seems like the first warm day of spring, when you spot birds and new buds, a returning of life. The third feels like late spring, when all the leaves and flowers have returned and new growth abounds, the promise of hope. Thank you so very much for this beautiful and inspiring gift. It is also good to see everyone's thoughts and wishes. {{{HUGS}}}
