Description
As we were nearing the end of our hike at Larch Mountain, I noticed a golden glow from the late afternoon sun on a stump ahead & positioned myself to cast my shadow on it...

Andrea says you look like a drummer. Really??? Lol, I always see things differently from her eyes. To me, your shadow looks a bit like a spirit coming out of the tree to greet you, like someone coming out of the biblical burning bush, or maybe a forest stalker, or a buddha. I really thought "buddha" when I first saw the small version of this. You did a buddha blend a little before this that was perfect, and this could be the leftover spirit as a reminder of his presence in nature. The purples here are marvelous---again, inner life---and the highlighting of the gold-yellows are stunning. You turned a shadow and light into a meditational vision---wonderful. I think all the pieces I've commented on so far are right next to each other---wait, I'll look...yes! they're in sequence!---and you got a heavy inner-life feel in all of them. I love this. (The comedian David Steinberg told a joke about the burning bush...Moses, upon seeing the bush, took off his sandals as god had commanded him, and when Moses approached the bush, he burnt his feet. God said, "third one this week: Yessss!" Isn't it a shame the Torah has so few one liners?)
