You sure do have a great talent with photo manipulation. It inspires me to try it....but then I end up spending all day for something not nearly so good. :)

I love your blends. It seems like a natural medium for you. The way you combine images, the flow, the melding of disparate subjects, is superb. It's fun to zoom and get lost in one of these. :)

Life took over suddenly, and I disappeared from rr, but I see everything of yours the day it goes up; and I've waited till the next opportunity to tell you, in as much meaningful detail as I could, how much I appreciate this. Ditto Tara's words, this is a wholly natural medium for you; and your individual images are often so clear even as they're being blended into the whole. I recognize a number of things here---what looks like a big Chinese (or Tibetan) plaque, maybe something related to prayer wheels, maybe something over a sacred place, shrine, etc. I'd bet those Chinese characters have something to do with peace and tranquility. And I see a woman: Don't know who she is but she has a special presence peering through the deep reds and greens here. And that man with the turned up nose and bow tie---he looks so familiar, is he from Dickens, or maybe a famous cartoon character, maybe from a famous fantasy novel, or just a bust you passed somewhere, or have in your home? Something very innocent and receptive about him, almost like an old fashioned butler-figure, and you've got him twice, once in deep dream green and the other in the center of the old chinese plaque. And a beetle? Scarab? Something Egyptian? And waves of lava-like red plant life, maybe the mosses and lichens you photograph so often And a big lit-bird, quite regal. The final experience is the blend, of course, and it feels like an inner dream, with figures and objects of the deep past and some from right outside your door, and much of it feeling mythic, like symbols of a mythic past. All in a lava-spill of imagination and memory. The stalks coming up from the bottom 'grounds' the image, as do the leaves there too. It's beautiful and intuitive, Claude, and introspective and passionate at the same time. Yes, image-combining is natural to you, even with the passion you put into a single image. A very fine 'quilt' of passions. Beautiful blending once again.
