Description

Experiment with water & RGB overlays: Revisiting the Lizard Valley, I decided to improve the water with and overlay. (underlay?) I think one reason that folks had a problem with the original render was the sandbar. The map is a real-world DEM of part of the Columbia river, and it has a center channel and sandbars near some of the edges. Anyhow, I wasn't satisfied with simply submerging the terrain, so I gave it a sandy underlay instead.

the cliffs and erosion patterns on the opposite shore are really good. I like the wave idea... I've been having trouble attempting it so far.

Waves were made with the Waterworks plugin. (whitecaps or sorta-surf, I forget which.) The beach is an RGB overlay (SOPack plugin) made from a picture of sand.
