You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Woo, a whole moon of cheese to eat, I bet Wallace & Gromit are already there ! Cool POV and composition, not to mention the eerie green glow, which goes with the cheese theme nicely...LOL ~Cheers~...or was that ~Cheese~ ??? :o)

Fantastic capture of these creepy crawlers ! I really have a hard time finding anything nice about them ! Sorry. Cool looking Coffee House though, green is a fav. color of mine.

Fine with me as long as they don't expect me to share my breakfast with them. Nice capture. Berlin has some of the best street art. I must visit.

Superb capture !!!!!!

Great capture. Very striking image. I'm not sure I'd want to see that right outside my window every day, but for a restaurant it makes a good landmark - as long as the rats are on the outside of the restaurant only!

Always a great thing to see you upload. I love this rendition of this coffee house, and the building it's in. The choice of green is intuitive and it totally works for me. It makes it seem very intense, almost nostalgic. I love your crop and angles, letting all the lines tilt and move towards each other, as we look upwards. And the deep shadows at the bottom too. I've heard of Balzac Coffee, never tasted it but heard of it. And I'm not surprised that this is a famous place. What do the rats signify, I wonder? "Rat" means "council" in Deutsch, doesn't it? Something like that? Is this a council building, an 'official' building? Whatever it is, I love those big rats climbing up to heaven---which you hint at with a small blast of intense light at the top. And I like the chunk of graffiti on the bottom, the human touch. Really nice treatment of the subject, I love the angles, hues and shadows. And, though I haven't had coffee in some years, it makes me want a good cup. (I was once known for my coffee, believe it or not.) Hope the summer is treating you well, it should be cooler there now...but I imagine Berlin is still cold right now. I hear it's a beautiful city and hope to see it one day. Hope you do too, in your next trip maybe...love this image, a real Brigitte treatment. you always do things special with your images...

Hi Brigitte! This really speaks to my imagination, and I can think of several scenarios on this scene, you've displayed so well, dear friend. What I like so much is the fact that the fat mouse, right, holds on to the tail of the one who climbs above him; as if he wants to dissuade him, to his earlier arrive at those fat cheese than he. I ask myself, if there were many more (small) mice up there. So, imagine that mouse on the right would pulling very hard at that mouse tail, and all mice, the entire row, would thunder down, what would one do in Berlin? What would be called, or say, or "curses" perhaps? Whether all people come with a camera to photograph the mice, and then, what do the mice? I know. it, BB-chen. : They just say "cheese", all at once! :D

Oh ... Brigitte....what for a beautiful memory. Here we had breakfast. I see this gorgeous graffiti every day. The artist is the Belgian ROA and I love him works. If we had had more time, you would have more graffiti from him. Btw, I have many of his works in Los Angeles (Arts District) photographed (very large .... if you want to visit Mark smile ) It's always a strange feeling when I see pictures from my city from others and I am pleased that you have just taken this picture. Hug Julchen
