Description

Just felt quietly majestic to me... (a street near home, the sun waning) Still commenting (slowly) Thanks for coming by. Peace, Mark (Much fuller Zoomed)

The work of winter; what a beautifully regal and stately scene, with that nicely-shoveled sidewalk between the iron fencing. Such a wonderfully alien (to me) sight!

A beautiful vision, with bountiful amounts of snow to embellish the scene, reminiscent of the early Twentieth century era during the winter, Mark. Love the deep lush colors and contrast. Eat your heart out, Saturday Evening Post!

Image well composed, but what fascinates most is the sense of "winter" that arouses thoughts of those who watch carefully. A very impressive picture !!!!

It really embodies all that winter means in a location like yours, very clever.

A nice shot of a snow covered city that reminds me of scenes from my childhood in NYC, though I don't see much in the way of eaves here. Also, those trees on the left have a strangely flattened look to them, as if they were two dimensional metal cutouts. That's the way I perceived them when I first looked at this image & I just can't seem to shift my vision to see them as three dimensional at all. Is it just me or is there some aspect of this POV that creates that illusion?

Mark, this is most certainly without a doubt one of the most beautiful winter captures I was seen in a long time. You have a great eye for spotting these Majestic settings and I'm so glad you take the time to share them with us. Most certainly the Chicago Chamber of Commerce is missing out by not hiring you to help promote your beloved city.

A very lovely shot. I always enjoy how snow makes everything look so different, and fresh and clean ... and cold, making everything inside feel so much cozier.
