Description
Well the Chemo seems to have gone OK....don't feel too bad as a result but side effects may take a while to kick in, this will be my Wednesday ritual 3 weeks of every month for 6 months.....it's good to have structure in your life.....but.
I was walking back to my office at 11:45am, there had been no news flashes about calamitous events, the sun was trying to shine.....I felt good. Imagine my surprise when I walked into my office to find Abe Abercromby waiting for me. " I thought I gave you the day off " I said, Abe grinned and said " Yes, well, Mrs Abercromby wasn't really up for the whole ' day out ' thing. Wednesday is the day she has the pool boy in, she really didn't want to cancel that, strange really as we live in a second floor flat and don't have a pool ". I thought for a moment and asked " Do you have a pool table"?, Abe thought and then said " Well yes, but just one of those little childs ones". " Well, there you go then, he's probably teaching her to play pool " I said. Abe smiled as he said " Of course, how silly of me, oh! I hope you don't mind but I gave those theatre tickets to my twin Brother Ade, it's his wedding anniversary and he's going to make a full black tie night of it....I even lent him my hat...". I wasn't paying attention, the sound of jet engines winding up became a roar as they throttled up for take off, I threw a puzzled look at Abe and he almost caught it as I said " I thought Tailspin had the only scheduled flight today ", Abe became very animated as he said " Yes, yes that's what I came to see you about, I worried about this flight all day yesterday and then " he tapped the side of his head as he continued " I had a brilliant idea. Tailspin gets distracted so easily, he has many boring tasks and checks to do while flying a plane and that's when his mind starts to wander. So I caught him just as he was completing his pre-flights and I got him to do his in-flights before he took off....we know the plane is fine after all the test flights. It took him over 15 minutes to do the checks, so I got him to repeat them,he was a bit quicker, so I got him to do them again, much better!....anyway, now he just has to concentrate on flying in a straight line to the target, with nothing but time on his hands ". I slumped heavily in my chair, " Did he do anything else besides the checks " ? I enquired, Abe thought for a moment and said " Yes, I mean I'm not certain but I think he was drawing lines on an i-pad with a crayon ". As the He-162 / Mistel combination vanished over the tree line I looked at my watch, 11:58am.....my head dipped as I asked " Did you happen to point out to Tailspin that he was now starting out almost an hour late "? Now Abe looked puzzled " No, why, should I have done " ? he asked, I felt ill as I said " Well Tailspins ' check off ' list now reads...Take off, Head North, Arm bomb, Check heading, 12 o'clock....bombs away ".........it was inevitable really I suppose....

Fate will not be denied. No matter how we plan and tinker, She will win in the end. That town needed to be revitalized anyway. Now the town planning board will have something to do - assuming you can find them. Fabulous art work and the effects in the last one are awesome. Glad the chemo is being nice.

Very good series !!!

Oops! Did the cat walk on the key board and inevitably push the red "BOOM!" button? Or....? Last image needs NO comment. The whole briefing suggested to me that something was bound to go terribly wrong. Town Council? Well, if you can find any remains, which I doubt. A better solution would be to let T.Rex in there and clean up the biological mess, and someone else after that to clean up the debris. Maybe Tailspin with a shovel and wheelbarrow? Or can he be trusted with such simple tools? Looking forward to flying bits and pieces of town council in next post! Keep up the good work! :-) Er, is that chemotherapy having strange side effects, blowing up the town like that? Hm :-)

Heh heh, bound to go wrong for sure you daft sod. Nice dialogue mate. I am glad your treatment is going fairly well also and I sincerely hope it progresses as painlessly and effectively as possible mate.

You know, it's really the fault of the town fathers, having named it "Cannonfodder on the Wold", after all.

I'm glad I live over 7000 miles away from you (LOL)!!!!!!!! Glad your first session went well. The next few days could be interesting?

OOH! Now comes the reports, inspectors, more paper work, MPs visiting, more paperwork and yet more paperwork! Glad it started well with you!

Tahks for the good wishes everyone.....as for todays 'events'....things aren't always as they first appear.......

I'm glad your chemo went well, Neil. As to your render and story; given the "unpredictable" day to day flow of events with Tailspin, the skeleton in the painting is probably apropos decor...sort of "memento mori" if you will.

Glad to hear the Chemo went well. My grandson has a brain tumor so I know the procedure full well. Great little story; I can see the headlines now and they ain't good in this case, Tailspin did not screw up - he followed instructions
