An easter bunny (symbol of procreation, for a day which symbolizes rebirth), in a bed of opulent oceanic waves, which happen to be lilacs with a mix of defined colors and waves of light wafting through the whole. So much so that the waves above the rabbit seem connected to the waves below. As if the whole image is seen through waves of light from a higher source. And yes, the rabbit is shaped like an egg: Even the lilac-bunches suggest eggs in their shapes. And the eggs themselves seem like jewels, like precious metals or marble. The dappling of light in this piece make it all like something crafted out of light. And the bed of lilacs seem made of air as much as of actual petals. Further, you've picked up some of the lilac hues in the rabbit's fur. And the fur has the kind of detail and flow that you so often create in animal fur. And the animal itself is very true to life, while it also feels like a vision. I love the light above it---like a burst of spirit in the midst of it all, in the same tones as the rest of the painting. And a feeling that we're glimpsing into an intimate resting place for this opulent animal, as it basks in blissful peace. There's an overall violet and green feel to the piece, with cream hues and blues. It's very peaceful and soft. A beautiful vision for Easter, and a beautiful interpretation of the Easter bunny, lilacs and eggs. (I want one of those eggs! I don't know if they're faberge's, but they're real jewels. Not sure one should eat them, but maybe one should, rather, look at them and take in their glow, as if they're magic, imparting something just by being near them...) Beautiful work again, Carol. It was time to comment on a few more of your images---they've been beautiful, every one.

One would be convinced that a bed of easter lilacs must be as comfortable as a bed of roses. The fluffy ball of fur that is the bunny looks so adorable I'd probably have been unable to resist stroking it.
Good work!
