My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Very cool collage in a classic surreal style that reminds me of the dream scene that Salvador Dali collaborated with Alfred Hitchcock on in "Spellbound". However, this is not the face I saw! I just sent you an email with a blowup of the face I saw, along with text annotations indicating where the various parts are...

It's easy to see you're having a ball with these, Tara! What a fun and yet rather mysterious image. Superb!

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call ... The Tara Zone. (with thanks to Rod Serling) What an amazing imagination you have. Rod would be proud. Outstanding work!

I'm only doing a couple of images per gallery right now (after a prolonged absence---and there will be more absence too, though I hope not for too long), so I end with this. Of your many blends, this is much more defined in the individual objects, compared to many of your blends where there is a dreamy collage of that seems more intermingled. This has more of a surrealist feeling, with very clear-cut images in it, each on their own, each sticking out strongly. The face, composed of objects and with a flower in the hair (and hair made of drooping flowers!) is very suggestive, in no small part because of the objects that make it up. With car pieces, flowers, what looks like a sink drain, etc etc. You have several bicycle wheels in different angles and configurations, and an "echo" in that watch (echo because it's of a similar shape), and lots of ripples and painterly forms, and of course the glove. I see Picasso, yes---Toulouse Lautrec I can't quite see (sorry, Andrea, though I take everything you say seriously), I can see Dali and Magritte too (surrealists), and just plain Tara. It's very bright and daylight-y, and there's an uplifting feeling to it all. The big boot, along with the gloved/laced hand gives it a retro feel---as does the rose in the hair and the unicycle. I don't know if that IS a unicycle, but in your version, it feels like it. The pocket watch is part of that retro feel too, as are what look like old beautiful car tires. Hope you do more of these whenever you're able---they're uplifting, dancing and beautiful. I'll comment more next time around. But your uploads since stepping down have been beautiful...

OK not going to attempt to compete with the above comment, but for me this says.... Lewis Carroll, Monopoly (the Board game), Jules Verne, James Clavell (The Fly), and a smidge of George Orwell. Love it!
