Just a greeting, and an 'I missed you' !
I hope to be back more regularly, soon.
I have no idea what this is, it just came out...
It's huge, so you might wanna Zoom it.
Hope you're all well,

Beautiful composition and fantastic creation my friend !!!
photosynthesis
Colorful psychedelic swirls of creativity, but I find myself wanting to move that dark blue rectangle aside to see what's underneath it. This may be purely subjective, Mark, but I'm used to seeing dark frames around lighter subjects & you've reversed that here (as well as having the "frame" take up more space than the inner "picture", which is also unusual) & I find that a little unsettling. Of course, maybe there is no actual frame & this is simply one rectangular design inside another? In any case, my obsessive compulsive side (which often rears it ugly little head) wants to reverse this & have the dark blue be a thin frame around the bright eye candy shapes & colors. Sorry, I can't help it, that's just my honest reaction...

Claude---thanks for your comment, this image was a problem for me too: I felt pretty much what you said. But my thought was: Every so often it's eye-opening to turn things around, to do what we aren't sure of, even if the results are strange and imbalanced. I'm just being public about my 'process', with uploads like this, and saying what the heck, let it be seen. (Ie, every so often I post my 'orphans'. Besides, this one begged to go up, and I couldn't turn it down...) Thanks for your comment---I appreciate what you wrote.

So nice to see a post from you, Mark. This image is intriguing, especially because it seems so full of contrasts. Wave-like swirls and shapes inhabit both worlds, that are connected and yet so different. There is such lightness on the outside, and yet inside there is a dark center of a completely different color and mood. Inside I see mirrored hearts, with a yin yang feel, and strings moving across one of the hearts, like the strings on an instrument, and lines in sheet music, traveling toward the heavens. There is also great swirling energy inside and out, a music of the spirit and soul, with a kind of dark concentration of cloud-like strokes, a gathering storm in the center, like a grand symphony of emotions and sound, and a happy sunlit dancing energy and colors around, as if in a protective frame of beautiful color and light. Somehow it all blends together in soothing softness and crashing crescendos that I can see, feel, and hear. A very emotive and fascinating artwork, Mark.

Let's face it, photosynthesis should show a little restraint and go easy in his assessments of other artist's offerings. He does that to me on occasion. He has to sit back and relax in his otherwise erudite comments. As for me, I can't take negative criticism of any kind. As for this hello everyone project, rather than a greeting card, this strikes me as a computer monitor with its own inexplicable subject matter, sharply contrasted against a liquid atmosphere of flowery fantasy, Mark. And, I hope to see you on Renderosity more often.

I love the colors that surround this image; they seem to float and swirl and feel like a dream. Then the center becomes yet another wonderful design; it almost looks like a piece of fabric. Wish I had something like that!!

Very interesting work !! Seems that the real image concept is not the blue or the frame but the interaction between its !!

I should like to order three yards of the centre design on dress weight silk, and a two by one yard scarf length of the other on voile.

I like this; something about it says "Celtic" to me, maybe it's the lines in the blue part of it...against the pastel flowery/springy background. I like it, and I especially like that you've come back to say hello and leave us this art as a sign that it was truly you :)

Mark, this is a fabulous presentation that honestly did brighten my night. The expressive nature of this image is unparalleled and the soft colors throughout make this one a joy to view.

This is such a beautiful image and the gently strokes on the background, which also have a kind of oily texture and the more bold in the foreground and yet, the bold contains lovely hearts, which always softens an image. Love the two colors against eachother. :-)

... and hello ! welcome back, we missed you too! - you are 'Le Grand Charmeur' with floating hearts to greet us - so precious of you Mark, it's a visual strong statement, which is then softened by those surrounding floral-like garlands of lilac, palest of green and pinkish colours - yummy ! (and I can't talk about my absence, just over a month by now - yikes!) BB (I wish I could understand - how someone can give crit and can't take it himself ?)
