Description
Well, not exactly.
I had originally planned a trip to Page, Arizona to see Antelope Canyon located just south of the town. Real life got in the way and my trip was delayed six months. One day I realized, “Hey, I’m retired. I don’t ever have to come home!” And so my trip began to expand until it included Arches National park, Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon.
Antelope Canyon consists of upper and lower “slot” canyons. Wikipedia defines a slot canyon as “a narrow canyon, formed by the wear of water rushing through rock. A slot canyon is significantly deeper than it is wide.” What makes Antelope Canyon so unique is that they are mostly covered.
I took over 200 pictures during my visit. I present a portion of those with little or no commentary. The images speak for themselves. Please take the effort to click once on the image to enlarge it. It is worth the effort.

Even if you are. On human terms the highlight of my trip was my visit with Aaron and his family in Monument Valley. But for sheer awesomeness Antelope Canyon was hard to beat.

Wow, this is fantastic, a place really interesting, and if you see carefully the walls, you can see a lot of figures, for example, do you remember the blowing winds in the 6th. Symphony of Beethoven in Disney's "Fantasia" ? Well they are in the wall at your right!
