Wonderful photo. I'm constantly amazed at the different texture and colour metal shows. The rusted metal on the blue door sets each other off beautifully.

ditto denise, and considering the monolithic and fearsome facade of the whole castle (I've seen all your uploads), it's a relief to see some ornate lines on this huge beast. You captured the metal as a 'surprise', a 'happening' upon the beautifully blued and aged door. It's like it crawled out from under the side (the archway, from what I can see). Like a big mold or insect. And maybe the creators wanted it to feel that way, like it was "crawling out," I don't know; but it's got that feel in your capture. Strong contrasts of rust, blue and deep yellow; all well done (by you). And a generous treatment of its mold and grime (ie, you let it speak eloquently), which a structure like this should have. More fine closeup from you, in this amazing series.
