Description
Hi everyone.
I'm still 'gone', but I wanted to say hello, and wish you all a fine rest of May. And to tell you I'll be commenting next week. I won't be posting, but I want to let you know I've seen everything you've posted, and loved it all.
But tonight, I'm posting a small assignment I had, for a poster. It's clearly postworked (though the original's not that different)...It's just a little thing, but I thought I'd share a snippet of what I do 'on assignment'.
Finally, Monday is Memorial Day in America.
I don't have the energy to make a dedication now, but I want to say thank you to all of you who've served in the hope of making this world a better place; and those of you who've seen the horrors of war for the same reason. I bow to you all for what you've given and been through, so other people could be safer and free of oppression. A grateful day to you all.
I'll be back in your galleries soon.
Love and peace to you all,
Mark

Wow....WOW! Spectacular work, Mark; I love this on so many levels! The colours, of course, are the first thing I noticed, but there's so much more than that in this wonderful image. Gobsmacked!

Really beautiful photo and artistic presentation, Mark. I like the electric colors and mood, that glow with a feeling of warmth and peacefulness mixed with excitement. The buildings are getting ready to rest for the night, and all seems quiet in the city, and yet there is a nightlife just waking up, in those lights and reflections, especially the blood-like reds that are flowing into the calm river. This is one of your best.

You show your city in so many wonderful and different ways, but this might be the best yet. Course the purple doesn't hurt, but the reflections simply put it over the top--I LOVE this!!!

Mark, let me just say that postworked or not this is one of the most amazing captures I've seen in a while. You obviously put a lot of thought into this one and you're timing was perfect to achieve such lighting. The reflections in the water are really what push this one over the top as this cityscape steals your breath away.

OMG, the Chicago skyline depicted in a magenta mode at twilight, including the fascinating reflections, which twinkle away in your very placid Lake Michigan, Mark. Really gorgeous. You have done the Windy City proud with this offering. And, thank you for your highly poignant comment vis-a-vis my Memorial Day posting. Finally, why does flavia49, a writer from what you told me, go word challenged and mute in her comments?

Excellent work!!!

It's such an exciting colour, call it: pink/purple/magenta/fuchsia or whatever ... the night seems to be falling and the exciting bit might be to me, what will the night have to offer ? I am an optimistic dreamer and it conjures up a beautiful and long walk along the Lake, to remember what a day it has been ... big sigh, ah ... those red wriggly lines reflecting giving it even more depth, simply irresistibly rich and edgy eye-candy, Mark. LOVE the colors! This is great. In full view, your softened/blurred down postwork style sings a beautiful duet with the colors. I'm sure your client is thrilled with the result ... I certainly would be!!
