ok now I may slow down on this one, and linger a while. When you first posted this, I thought of Wyeth---for the mood and the muted green/browns. And the windblown tree. You've somehow softened this so it feels like a dream; but it's still very sharp in details, and you've let us feel the striations in the earth which I assume are from the geologic strata. Having that windblown tree to the right (if it's not actually growing that way) gives a dark focal point to the shot. And the house in the background---with that murky stormy sea---feels nostalgic and yearning. Masterful. It could be a New England scene too, except perhaps for the strata of earth. Beautiful work, Claude.
