I drove as far south on Hwy 1 as Manzanita OR when I visited WA. This reminds me a lot of that... lovely shot.

I agree with the above, this is a superb shot. It's a subject that could stump many photographers---inhibiting them from getting a scintillating shot. But you have a mixture of sharp grasses yet somehow soft; the front sands are a deep rusty orange (with layers like that tree bark you posted a little before this), and beautiful rolling 'hills' leading to a murky moody sea. The contrast of the almost faded sea with the deep oranges and murky browns and greens is first rate. This is a close view of the mood you captured in your Arlene shot (just before this), and it's terrific. You've really caught the darker yearning mood of this place. (Btw, I realize I haven't fav'd anything: Well you already know this is one of my favorite art spots; I forgot to fav so I can keep commenting. I'd like to get twice as many shots than I usually do, because I want to show you my appreciation.)
