Description

Greetings Folks, Take a second, take a minute.. You a looking something that will cost you upwards of £2,000,000 to buy! And that's starting price.. And... that's POUNDS! This is very first Rolls Royce Silver Ghost ever built.. No1.. I'll quote from the auction folks card (you should be able to read anyway).. Rolls Royce Silver Ghost 1907 'Silver Ghost'. It was built as a company demonstrator as the first Silver Ghost.. It won the Scottish Reliability Trials in 1907.. It then went on supervised by the RAC to cover 14,371 miles between London and Glasgow without an involuntary stop (breakdown), outclassing every other car at the time and thereby earning the reputation as 'The Best Car In the World'.. Respect! And ever since the name Rolls Royce means.. Well.... Soak it up and dream on.. This costs more than a Spitfire! Rob

I suspected it was THE Silver Ghost when I saw the thumbnail. Not a car you go driving in, more a collector's item or museum item. Good photo, nice angle, shows a lot of the detail. When I was young there was a plastic model of this - can't remember which company (Airfix???). With all that shiny metal you'd need a full time car butler to keep it shiny. Nice surprise, Rob! Keep up the good work! :-) You should get recognition for your car photos, too!

Well, that's for sure! What a cracking beauty. So beautiful I wouldn't drive it without armed Humvees to escort me. Built like a tank, it is. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
