Description
Captured back on 10/19/08, at a car show held at beautiful Santa Anita Park in beautiful Arcadia, California.
A strange title I know, but that's what it was described as, and who am I to argue with the owner?
Those are not the original style wheels.
As for its color, it looks like a primer coat. Not very appealing to us vehicle connoisseurs, and especially to Helle, who will hate it to pieces.
Avtio.

It's a beauty of an old car, wonder if it got a paint job soon after? Fantastic shot, Harry!

lol on your comment on helle...well, she does lots of wild abstracts, so I'm sure the patterns on this car appealed to her, deep down. I love that you captured a car with an incomplete coat---the mottled gray is wonderfully informal and unprepared, like a couple who comes to a formal dinner in jeans and t shirts. ("Ooops! No one told me it was white tie...") I love that you capture these, alongside your eye-popping highly finished cars: This has a dignity of its own. Your angle as always shows off a big swath of the car; and the clarity of the front grill---with those eye spectacles (glasses) is wonderful. As is the detail on those tires. (Those tires are the automobile version of "spectator shoes"---also from this time. I'll give you a link at bottom if you don't know the name...) And your usual compositional detail is present too (lining the car with the back row of bushes, aligning it well with the car to its side, allowing the right amount of grass around it. etc). A real beauty, motley-ness and all; and those tires look like it got dressed up, but forgot to put on a tie. Delightful capture, Harry.
